🗣️ Speech Rt Hon Winston Peters (New Zealand First Party — Member for Tauranga)
Time unknown

I raise a point of order, Mr Speaker. I wish to raise a question with the Leader of the House. Having approached the Clerk’s Office about the format for tomorrow in respect of member’s day and the Budget Policy Statement debate, we were told that the ordinary debate for members will go on. However, having read Chen Palmer and Partners’ latest epistle of 28 February, I find on page 2 that on Wednesday a 2-hour debate will be held on the Budget Policy Statement. We would like to know what is going on, and how it is that that firm knows before the rest of us. Perhaps the Leader of the House could tell us what will happen tomorrow.

That is automatic under the Standing Orders, if the member would care to consult them.

🗣️ Speech Hon Sir Michael Cullen (New Zealand Labour Party — List Member)
Time unknown

I can assure the House that I did not pay Chen Palmer and Partners its usual fees for any such statement.
