Ngāti Hauā Claims Settlement Bill

This is a very similar Supplementary Order Paper to the Supplementary Order Paper we have just dealt with in relation to the Ngāti Koroki Kahukura Claims Settlement Bill. It does a number of things. First it makes amendments that reflect the enactment of the Heritage New Zealand Pouhere Taonga Act 2014. The second thing it does is remove provisions that provided for the possibility of an exchange of land, which was contemplated when the bill was introduced and which related to an aspect of the cultural redress provided to the iwi. It was not thought it would be completed before the settlement date because the exchange has actually now been completed. So that solves that issue. Finally, it updates the legal description of the cultural redress property described in the bill as a consequence of the exchange of land and some very recent survey work. So, again, like the other Supplementary Order Paper, this Supplementary Order Paper is very technical and in the nature of a tidy-up.
