How can the Speaker know that, until I call—

💬 Mr SPEAKER: Order! There is no question—[Interruption] Order! There is no question in front of the House, so if the member seeks the Speaker’s call, he must be raising a point of order. I have sufficient—[Interruption] Goodness! I have sufficient courtesy for members to treat them with that kind of courtesy. Where there is no question in front of the House, if a member gets to their feet, they are clearly raising a point of order, and I recognised the member on that basis. Does the member wish to raise a point of order?

I raise a point of order, Mr Speaker. Yes, I do wish to raise a point of order. Mr Speaker, for the first time in 10 years I was ejected from this Parliament yesterday, and I did not even have the opportunity to put a point of order before you ejected me. I want you to note that point. [Interruption]
