I have also received a letter from the Hon Peter Dunne seeking to debate under Standing Order 380 the implications of and potential Government reaction to the deaths of three teenage girls in Canterbury over the weekend. The actual event is a particular case of recent occurrence, but there is no ministerial responsibility for the event. Implications of potential Government reaction cannot give rise to a debate under Standing Order 380. The application is also declined.
