Business Statement
Next week in the House priority will be given to the remaining stages of the Lawyers and Conveyancers Bill and the Securities Legislation Bill, and to the first readings of the Tariff (Trans-Pacific Strategic Economic Partnership) Amendment Bill, the New Zealand Superannuation and Veterans’ Pensions (Entitlements of Spouses and Partners of People in Long-term Residential Care and Remedial Matters Bill), and the KiwiSaver Bill.
I thank the Leader of the House for that indication. I wonder if he might tell us whether the Government has any plans to advance the Conservation (Protection of Trout as a Non-commercial Species) Amendment Bill, which has now been on the Order Paper for some 7 years.
Indeed, the trout are now rather old trout, but they are still being protected.
