Motions — Speaker—No Confidence
Time unknown
I seek the leave of the House to move without notice a motion of no confidence in the Speaker, and to ask that he vacate the Chair whilst we discuss a number of unfortunate events that have occurred in the House recently, in which Ministers have elected to frustrate members seeking answers to questions during question time, and the Speaker has shown a willingness to allow that to happen—when necessary, by the unjustified removal of members from the House in order to further shut down a line of questioning.
💬 Mr SPEAKER: Leave is sought. Is there any objection? There is.
