Urgent Debates Declined — Power Station—Huntly

I have also received a letter from the Hon Ken Shirley seeking to debate under Standing Order 373 the Government’s commitment to underwriting part of the power station to be built at Huntly. This is a particular case of recent occurrence involving ministerial responsibility. However, I do not consider that the announcement requires to be considered by way of an urgent debate. There will be many parliamentary opportunities to consider a long-term commitment of that nature—not least the 3-hour imprest supply debate today. This application is also declined.
