Urgent Debates Declined — Pike RiverCoalmine Proposal

I have also received a letter from the Hon Ken Shirley seeking to debate the Government’s conditional approval for access arrangements for the Pike River coalmine proposal. This is a particular case of recent occurrence involving ministerial responsibility, but I do not think I would be justified in giving priority to a debate on this subject over other business before the House. This application is also declined.
