Motions — Civil Emergency—Lower North Island

I move, That this House notes the severe flooding and damage to houses, bridges, power and water supply, and telecommunications that have hit the Rangitikei, Horowhenua, and the lower North Island and expresses its sympathy to those who have been affected; and, further, that this House commends the emergency services and hundreds of volunteers who have worked during this disaster, in many cases with little sleep since Sunday.
