🗣️ Speech Steve Maharey (New Zealand Labour Party — Member for Palmerston North)
Time unknown

Last Wednesday, in response to a question from the Rt Hon Winston Peters, I said that for the financial year ended 30 June 2003 Television New Zealand employees had made 28 trips to international conventions and trade fairs, at a cost of $380,000. Now that TVNZ has had time to carefully analyse all the figures for the year, I can advise that the correct figures are 38 trips at the lower cost of $340,347. I take this opportunity, the first opportunity I am able, to present to the House the information that corrects TVNZ’s information to me.
