← All policies"Collective bargaining" is when a union negotiates a single employment agreement covering a group of employees, rather than each employee bargaining individually. Several Employment Relations Amendment Bills have gone back and forth on the rules around it - e.g. whether employers must genuinely try to reach agreement ("good faith" bargaining), and whether an employer can opt out of bargaining that covers several employers at once.
