← All policiesThe Criminal Records (Clean Slate) Act 2004 lets a person legally answer "no" if asked about old, minor convictions (e.g. on a job application), provided they've stayed conviction-free for 7 years and meet other conditions - effectively concealing the record rather than erasing it.
