Sale and Supply of Alcohol (Sales on Anzac Day Morning, Good Friday, Easter Sunday, and Christmas Day) Amendment Bill
Committee of the Whole House
Parts 1 and 2, Schedule, and clauses 1 and 2
CHAIRPERSON (Teanau Tuiono): Members, the House is in committee on the Sale and Supply of Alcohol (Sales on Anzac Day morning, Good Friday, Easter Sunday, and Christmas Day) Amendment Bill. Members, before we come to the debate on Part 1, I have determined that the subject of any votes on this bill will be treated as a conscience issue. I know there are members who want a personal vote, and I am prepared to accept one when we come to voting. The process we are going to follow once we reach voting is that I am going to put the question; I am going to announce the result; and, at that stage, any member can ask for a personal vote.
We now come to Part 1. This is the debate on clauses 3 to 8—“Amendments to Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012”—and the Schedule. The question is that Part 1 stand part.
David MacLeod: Point of order, Mr Chair. I seek leave for all provisions to be taken as one debate.
CHAIRPERSON (Teanau Tuiono): Is there any objection to that? There seems to be none. The question is that Parts 1 and 2, the Schedule, and clauses 1 and 2 stand part.
