Members, we come now to Part 2, which is the debate on clauses 9 to 39, “Parliamentary privilege”. The question is that Part 2 stand part.

Thank you, Madam Chair. As the Minister has pointed out, the Parliamentary Privilege Act 2014—some submitters thought that it should stand alone. The committee decided that it could be included in there and that it stood on its own mana, basically, in my words. I just wanted to make that comment at the committee of the whole House. I think that it is important that all four of those pieces of legislation are brought together into one document, including parliamentary privilege. Thank you.
