Time unknown

I have received a letter from the Hon Marama Davidson seeking to debate under Standing Order 399 the role of the New Zealand deployment to monitor the 1982 Egypt-Israel Peace Treaty. Not every ministerial announcement will give sufficient grounds for an urgent debate. I do not think that the two-year extension on such a long-term commitment warrants setting aside the business of the House today. The application is declined.
