📅 Recorded under the Tuesday, 18 November 2025 session -
Hansard's own transcript for this session runs through to
Thursday, 20 November 2025, so this debate may
really have happened on a later date within that range rather than on
18 November itself - we can't tell which
exact date from Hansard's own record of it.
📝 Hansard marked this day's transcript "Corrected" (not yet "Final") as of our last import -
it may since have changed again. Check the

Members, I have received a letter from Tangi Utikere seeking to debate, under Standing Order 399, the decision by the Minister of Housing and the Minister of Finance to transfer funding to fund a bridge in the Hutt South electorate. This is a particular case of recent occurrence for which there is ministerial responsibility. I have considered this matter carefully, recognising that expense transfers do occur. Having weighed the interests of the House and ministerial probity with the high bar for urgent debates, I do not think this matter warrants setting aside the business of the House today. The application is declined.
