Members, I’m in receipt of a letter from Rachel Boyack seeking to debate under Standing Order 399 the Government’s response to the proposal by Carter Holt Harvey to close the Eves Valley Sawmill. This is a particular case of recent occurrence. However, no Government response has been disclosed in the member’s application. There is no ministerial responsibility for the decisions of a publicly listed company. The application is declined.
