Public Service Amendment Bill
Is there a Minister thatβs going to move the report-back date?
on behalf of the Minister for the Public Service: I move, That the bill is reported back in four months and one day.
So, weβve got some wording here, which the Clerk will bring over.
π¬ Hon Kieran McAnulty: Point of order, Madam Speaker. The motion has been put, and itβs been put incorrectly. There was no Minister ready to put this. There was an adequate period of time for them to be able to be organised and to be able to put it.
π¬ Hon David Seymour: Speaking to the point of order, none the less, a Minister has risen to his feet and moved the motion. I see no problem with that.
Just a moment, Iβll just take someβit was put not as planned, but I accept that. Iβm just going to take some advice here.
OK, so the advice that Iβve been given is that even though the Minister used the incorrect words, the effect was the same. So I put the motion that the Minister moved.
