I seek leave to move a motion without notice or debate to acknowledge the death of Maurice Gee.

💬 SPEAKER: Is there any objection to that course of action being followed? There appears to be none.

I move, That this House express its sympathy and condolences to the family of Maurice Gee, who passed on 12 June 2025, and acknowledge his significant contribution to New Zealand literature.
