🗣️ Speech Chris Bishop (New Zealand National Party — Member for Hutt South)
Time unknown

Even though it’s not actually Thursday, I thought I might do a Business Statement, if the House would like it.

💬 Hon Kieran McAnulty: It is Thursday.

No—[Interruption] He gets it; the parliamentary nerds get it.

💬 SPEAKER: Please, just carry on.

Next week—[Interruption]

💬 SPEAKER: Excuse me, just a bit of quiet.

—the House will consider legislation, under urgency, to progress the Government’s 100-day plan. Legislation to be considered will include the Resource Management (Natural and Built Environment and Spatial Planning Repeal and Interim Fast-track Consenting) Bill, the Employment Relations (Trial Periods) Amendment Bill, and—this is not related to the 100-day plan—the Secondary Legislation Confirmation Bill (No 2). There will be members’ maiden speeches on Tuesday, and the House will hold the adjournment debate, which will set the sitting calendar for 2024.
