Amended Answers to Oral Questions — Question No. 12 to Minister

I seek leave to make a personal explanation to correct an answer to a supplementary question that I gave today in answer to oral question No. 12.

I advised the House that on 8 June the chief executive of Oranga Tamariki told my adviser who then told me about an incident in an Oranga Tamariki residence. This is accurate for the incident I was notified of on 16 June but not 8 June. I’d therefore like to correct the statement and advise the House that on 8 June my office and I were informed of this incident at the same time, directly by the chief executive of Oranga Tamariki, in a joint phone call.
