Time unknown
Thank you, Mr Speaker. Today the House will adjourn until Tuesday, 21 September. The nature of the sitting at that time will depend on the alert levels that apply to different parts of New Zealand and will be subject to discussions in the Business Committee. When the House resumes full consideration of legislation, priority will be given to bills that have to be enacted by a certain date, such as the Taxation (Annual Rates for 2021-22, GST, and Remedial Matters) Bill, which has to be passed by the end of March next year in order to validate the collection of tax in the current financial year. The Government does intend to pass the Counter-Terrorism Legislation Bill by the end of September.
