🗣️ Speech Hon Anne Tolley (New Zealand National Party — Member for East Coast)
Time unknown

Colleagues, the House is in committee on the Appropriation (2019/20 Supplementary Estimates) Bill. In the committee stage of an Appropriation (Supplementary Estimates) Bill, only the Minister’s amendments and any amendments to them are considered. There is, therefore, no debate on any provisions where there are no amendments proposed, which means in this case there will be no debate on clauses 1 to 3.

I also remind members that the House has agreed to trial the removal of the four-call limit in the committee stage. I encourage you to keep your contributions focused—remember that five minutes is not a target—and relevant to good interaction with the Minister in the chair. We have the ability then to take short calls and have a series of questions and answers between members and the Minister. You can be confident that you will get a number of short calls.
