The House is in committee on the Referendums Framework Bill. Members, this bill has been drafted with an extra clause that sits outside the parts’ structure, which will give rise to an extra debate. The committee will first debate each of the four parts separately. These parts form the substance of the bill. The committee will then debate clause 3 separately. This is the clause that would repeal the bill in 2022. After voting on the Schedules, the committee will then debate the title and commencement provisions at clauses 1 and 2.
