Legislation to be considered next week will include the Child Poverty Reduction Bill, the Crown Minerals (Petroleum) Amendment Bill, the Residential Tenancies (Prohibiting Letting Fees) Amendment Bill, the Family and Whānau Violence Legislation Bill, and the Taxation (Research and Development Tax Credits) Bill. As notified to the Business Committee, there will be an extended sitting on Thursday morning. Wednesday will be a members’ day.

I wonder if the Leader of the House can tell us if it’s the Government’s intention to advance with some urgency legislation to give effect to the Prime Minister’s announcement yesterday with regards to regional fuel tax no longer being Government policy.

First of all, that wasn’t the Prime Minister’s announcement yesterday, and also there is no need for legislation to give effect to the Prime Minister’s commitments yesterday.
