🗣️ Speech Sir Rt Hon Trevor Mallard (New Zealand Labour Party — List Member)
Time unknown

I have received a letter from the Hon Paula Bennett seeking to debate under Standing Order 389 the Government’s decision to stop the process of appointing a Chief Technology Officer. This is a case of recent occurrence that involves ministerial responsibility. However, I do not think the matter is sufficiently urgent to warrant setting aside the business of the House today. It can be adequately addressed in tomorrow’s general debate. Therefore, the application is declined.
