🗣️ Speech Rt Hon Winston Peters (New Zealand First Party — List Member)
Time unknown

I seek leave to make a personal explanation to correct a statement I made in the House yesterday.

💬 SPEAKER: Is there any objection to that process? There appears to be none.

In question time, I stated that on 9 June 2017 Mark Mitchell MP took a flight from Whenuapai Air Base to Papakura Military Camp in an NH90 helicopter. This advice from defence was wrong. They’ve corrected it. Mr Mitchell flew in an SH-2G(1) Seasprite helicopter. It’s worth emphasising that the flight did indeed take place, just not in the model of helicopter that the Defence Force incorrectly identified to me yesterday.
