Points of Order — Crimes (Blasphemy Repeal) Amendment Bill—Leave for Introduction and Setting Down as Members’ Order of the Day No. 1

I raise a point of order, Mr Speaker. I seek leave to introduce the Crimes (Blasphemy Repeal) Amendment Bill, a member’s bill in my name, and for the bill to be set down as members’ order of the day No. 1.

I raise a point of order, Mr Speaker. This morning I tabled an amendment to the Statutes Repeal Bill, which will be debated on Thursday. It has the effect of doing exactly what Mr Seymour’s bill proposes, without needing to waste the time of the House with a whole other bill.
