Sale and Supply of Alcohol (Extended licensing hours during Rugby World Cup) Bill

I seek leave to introduce a member’s bill in my name on extending the licensing hours for the sale and supply of alcohol for the duration of Rugby World Cup 2015, to be set down for first reading today ahead of members’ order of the day No. 1. To allow for the legislation to commence prior to the start of the Rugby World Cup, I also seek leave for the bill, following its first reading, to be referred to the Justice and Electoral Committee and to be reported back by 26 August 2015, and, once reported back, for the bill to be given its second and third readings forthwith on the following members’ day, 26 August 2015.
