🗣️ Speech Hon Gerry Brownlee (New Zealand National Party — Member for Ilam)
Time unknown

I raise a point of order, Mr Speaker. I think it is reasonable for me to call attention to the fact that even though there were discussions in the Business Committee a couple of weeks ago, there have been further incidents today of people tweeting from in the House, making what I could only describe as disparaging remarks about the Chair, therefore offending all of the members in this House. I wonder, Mr Speaker, whether you could subject yourself—I would have to say—to looking at those once you are out of the House today so that there might be a further discussion to see whether some of the positions that were reached recently can be honoured.

🗣️ Speech Hon David Parker (New Zealand Labour Party — List Member)
Time unknown

My understanding is that that matter has been referred to the Privileges Committee.

🗣️ Speech David Carter (New Zealand National Party — List Member)
Time unknown

The member is right. It has been referred to the Privileges Committee, and the whole House is aware of that. The member Gerry Brownlee has asked me to have a look at some of those comments; I will.
