When the House resumes on Tuesday, 10 December, the Government will look to progress the Subordinate Legislation (Confirmation and Validation) Bill (No 2), the Consumer Law Reform Bill, and the Taxation (Annual Rates, Employee Allowances, and Remedial Matters) Bill. With the agreement of the Business Committee, the House will sit in extended hours on the morning of Wednesday, 11 December to progress two Government motions, the Royal Succession Bill, and the Mokomoko (Restoration of Character, Mana, and Reputation) Bill, and to hold a debate on the Health Committee inquiry on improving child health outcomes and preventing child abuse with a focus from preconception until 3 years of age.

I wonder whether the Deputy Leader of the House could tell us whether the Government intends to progress legislation relating to the establishment of the Education Council of Aotearoa New Zealand or any legislation to do with Chorus prior to Christmas.
