🗣️ Speech Sir Rt Hon Trevor Mallard (New Zealand Labour Party — Member for Hutt South)
Time unknown

I seek leave to move without notice or debate a motion congratulating the Speaker on his performance in the New York City Marathon.

💬 Mr SPEAKER: Leave is sought for such a course of action. Is there any objection? There appears to be none. Thank you all very, very much.

I move, That the House notes the superb performance of the Speaker in the New York Marathon and hopes that in the future he can go under 4 hours.

🗣️ Speech David Carter (New Zealand National Party — List Member)

The question is that the motion be agreed to. All those in favour say Aye, to the contrary, No. The motion is carried unanimously, and please note that I abstained!
