Citizens Initiated Referenda — Sales of State-owned Assets

Pursuant to section 21 of the Citizens Initiated Referenda Act 1993, I hereby inform the House that a petition has been received from Roy Reid seeking a referendum on the question: “Do you support the Government selling up to 49 percent of Meridian Energy, Mighty River Power, Genesis Power, Solid Energy, and Air New Zealand?”. The petition has been certified as correct by the Clerk of the House under section 18 of the Act.
