I seek the leave of the House to introduce without notice and without debate a motion condemning the violence in Egypt and calling for the restoration of democratic process.

💬 Mr SPEAKER: Leave is sought to move a motion without debate. Is there any objection to that course of action? There appears to be none.

I move, That this House condemn the killing and the violence occurring in Egypt, and, in particular, the shooting of hundreds of unarmed protesters, and call on all sides to desist from violence and for immediate steps to be taken to reinstate democratic process, the rule of law, and elections.

Motion agreed to.
