I wish to announce the correction of a vote. On 27 March, when the Committee of the whole House was considering the Marriage (Definition of Marriage) Amendment Bill, the results of two votes were announced incorrectly. The vote of the question that Tim Macindoe’s amendment to clause 5A set out on Supplementary Order Paper 203 be agreed to was incorrectly announced as Ayes 36, Noes 80. The correct result is Ayes 36, Noes 79. The vote on the question that Dr Paul Hutchison’s typescript amendment to clause 5A be agreed to was incorrectly announced as Ayes 18, Noes 85. The correct result is Ayes 18, Noes 84. The record will be amended accordingly.
