I seek leave to correct a response I gave to a supplementary question I was asked during question time today.

💬 Mr DEPUTY SPEAKER: Leave is sought to make a personal explanation to correct her response. Is anyone opposed to that course of action? There appears not. Leave is granted.

In response to a supplementary question asked during question No. 11 today, I indicated that the State Services Commissioner had not consulted me prior to accepting the resignation of the Secretary for Education. Although I was not consulted at the final stage of the commissioner’s decision to accept Ms Longstone’s resignation, I had been involved in earlier discussions. I wanted to clarify the position to the House.

The House adjourned at 9.57 p.m.
