I raise a point of order, Mr Chairperson. I do apologise for this, but, as you will understand, there is a need for me to be coordinating with the Māori Party. It is my understanding that the Māori Party is opposed both to the Social Assistance (Living Alone Payments) Amendment Bill and to the amendments. Therefore, in the substantive vote on Part 1 previously—

The CHAIRPERSON (Eric Roy): We will deal with that after we have dealt with this amendment.

I am just signalling there will need to be a correction to a vote.

OK. We will deal with that when we have dealt with this amendment.

I seek leave to correct the Māori Party’s vote on Part 1 of the bill.

The CHAIRPERSON (Eric Roy): On the question that Part 1 as amended stand part, the Māori Party is now voting three opposed?

The Māori Party is three votes opposed.

Thank you. We did not actually cast a vote. I put the question and there were no Noes at that point, so we actually had no party vote.

The question was put that the following amendment in the name of Jacinda Ardern to clause 18 be agreed to:

in new section 67A(4)(b), replace “18” with “25”.
