Voting — Tasman District Council (Validation and Recovery of Certain Rates) Bill—Mana Party Votes

My apologies, Mr Speaker. I seek leave to have it recorded in the Journals of the House that the Mana Party wished to vote in the negative on the Tasman District Council (Validation and Recovery of Certain Rates) Bill, which the House was previously dealing with.

Yes, and I did not carry that out.

Leave is sought that it might be recorded in the Journals that the Mana Party wished to vote. We are not changing the vote. Leave is sought for that purpose. Is there anyone opposed to that course of action? There appears not. Leave is granted.

I raise a point of order, Mr Speaker. I just want to clarify through the Green Party member—the way I heard it described, and you accurately and faithfully recorded it, I think the intention was that the Hansard be adjusted, which is possible with the leave of the House. I just wanted to check—

Let me try to help the member, because it is a little unusual what we have had happen. I think the member asked that the Journals record that it was the intention of the Mana Party to vote against it, not to change the vote, because the vote had taken place. We cannot actually do that. So that is all that will be recorded in Hansard. Right? Is everybody clear?
