Regrettably, the bill, as introduced, omitted regulations made on 5 June 2012 under the National Animal Identification and Tracing Act 2012. These regulations impose levies on the owners of animals covered by the National Animal Identification and Tracing scheme. The levies contribute to the scheme’s funding. If not confirmed, the regulations will be deemed revoked at the close of 30 June 2013.

Part 1 agreed to.

The question was put that the amendment set out on Supplementary Order Paper 162 in the name of the Hon Gerry Brownlee to insert new clause 9A be agreed to.
