Following discussion in the Business Committee I move, That it be an instruction to the Committee of the whole House on the Sentencing (Aggravating Factors) Amendment Bill that it have the authority to consider and, if it thinks fit, adopt the amendments set out on Supplementary Order Paper 14 in the name of Charles Chauvel to extend the bill to emergency health and fire service personnel, and to those on Supplementary Order Paper 9 in the name of Le’aufa’amulia Asenati Lole-Taylor to extend the bill to those engaged in enforcement duties.
