Business Statement

I raise a point of order, Mr Speaker. In the absence of a Government business statement at the beginning of the day, it is my understanding that the intention of the Government next week to move—

Sorry, but he did not do it at the beginning. He did not stand up then.

Order! The Business Committee had agreed that this motion would be dealt with at the commencement of today’s business. Does the acting Leader of the House wish to make a statement?

on behalf of the Leader of the House: When the House resumes on Tuesday, 19 June the Government intends to hold the combined 3-hour debate on the second readings of the Appropriation (2011/12 Supplementary Estimates) Bill and an Imprest Supply Bill, and will look to progress the Committee stage of the Mixed Ownership Model Bill, the Prisoners’ and Victims’ Claims (2012 Expiry and Application Dates) Amendment Bill, and the Dairy Industry Restructuring Amendment Bill.

Can I inquire of the acting Leader of the House whether, in fact, it is the Government’s intention to move on the liquor reform legislation within this session?
