🗣️ Speech Sir Rt Hon Trevor Mallard (New Zealand Labour Party — Member for Hutt South)
Time unknown

I raise a point of order, Mr Speaker. I think the rules on the use of electronic devices in here have somewhat changed. I just want to ask whether it is appropriate for the Minister for Social Development and Employment to be tweeting or texting during prayers.

💬 Mr SPEAKER: Members know that I have been pretty relaxed about people using modern communications technology, as long as phones do not ring in this place. I do not think we need members telling on each other like that.
