Business Statement
When the House resumes on Tuesday, 13 September the Government intends to move the first readings of the Exclusive Economic Zone and Continental Shelf (Environmental Effects) Bill, the Natural Health Products Bill, and the Student Loan Scheme Amendment Bill. The Government also intends to move the second reading of the Alcohol Reform Bill, as well as make further progress on other bills on the Order Paper.
Is it the intention of the Minister of Justice to move on the Criminal Procedure (Reform and Modernisation) Bill; if so, can he give the House an assurance that the Minister of Justice has not promised any post-election consideration to any member of ACT for voting for it?
The Minister of Justice is beavering away to ensure progress can be made on that legislation. As the member knows, he is a pragmatic Minister who will find a solution.
