Royal Society of New Zealand Amendment Bill
I move, That the Committee report progress.
The process here is that I have to put down first that the Royal Society of New Zealand Amendment Bill be set for consideration on the next sitting day. That is first process, then I can accept the seeking of leave. What we have done is adopt the report; that motion has been put. The next stage means that it cannot be debated today, so I am putting it down for further consideration on the next sitting day, as Standing Order 177(1) states. The member is seeking leave to depart from that. I am prepared to put that question to the House, but first of all I have to say that the bill is set down for further consideration on the next sitting day.
I raise a point of order, Mr Speaker. I seek the leave of the House for the further Committee stage of the Royal Society of New Zealand Amendment Bill to be set down to be taken subsequent to the debate on the Education (Freedom of Association) Amendment Bill today, with no debate.
