Points of Order — Parliamentary Complex Staff—Expression of Thanks

I raise a point of order, Mr Speaker. I ask your indulgence, before the day descends into a total shambles, to recognise and thank all the workers in the parliamentary complex who have come in on a Saturday to serve our members of Parliament through until midnight. We deeply appreciate the work they will be doing for us today.

Although the member’s sentiments are heartfelt and are shared by everybody, that is not a point of order.

The ASSISTANT SPEAKER (Hon Rick Barker): I see that that member wants an early shower, or maybe a requirement for him to be in the House until midnight reading his own speeches.
