Tabling of Documents — Pike River Mine, West Coast—Tragedy

Urgent Debates Declined — Pansy Wong—Outcome of Ministerial Resignation →
Time unknown
I seek leave to table two letters. The first is a letter received from the European Parliament entitled “Pike River: mark of respect by European Parliament”. The second is a letter of response penned by Charles Chauvel, chair of the New Zealand - European Union Parliamentary Friendship Group. In seeking leave I note that the mark of respect is the first occasion that the European Parliament has responded to a New Zealand tragedy in this way.
💬 Mr SPEAKER: Leave is sought to table those documents. Is there any objection? There is none.
Documents, by leave, laid on the Table of the House.
