I am aware that it is New Zealand Sign Language Week this week—highlighting one of New Zealand’s official languages. I know that there are members of the Deaf community in the gallery here today observing the proceedings and that translations are taking place around the building. I want to welcome the members of the Deaf community to Parliament; I am sure other members would like to welcome them, as well.
