Member Vacancy — Rakaia Electoral District—Brian Connell

I move, That, pursuant to section 131(a) of the Electoral Act 1993, a vacancy in the Rakaia Electoral District having arisen in the period of 6 months prior to the date of the expiration of this Parliament, no writ be issued for the election of a member of Parliament for that electoral district to supply the vacancy occasioned by the resignation of Brian David Connell.
