🗣️ Speech Hon Nathan Guy (New Zealand National Party — List Member)
Time unknown

I raise a point of order, Madam Speaker. I want to talk about a matter that occurred earlier on this afternoon to do with the National Party’s vote on the Mauao Historic Reserve Vesting Bill. Hansard and the television footage will show that no party vote was called; everyone in the House was in favour of that, and what the National Party opposed was to do with the Māori Affairs Committee meeting outside Standing Orders on the sitting days, because the Māori Affairs Committee is not the busiest one in Parliament. I want to make the point that the error occurred as a result of human error and the Clerk is aware of that. I want to put that on record.

The ASSISTANT SPEAKER (Ann Hartley): Thank you for that. It is certainly acknowledged in the record.
