Time unknown

I have received a letter from Heather Roy seeking to debate under Standing Order 380 the state of health services at the Capital and Coast District Health Board. In her letter the member refers to the resignation of the chief executive and information regarding events that have occurred. The chief executive’s resignation has been signalled for some time, and the outcome of these reported events is unclear. No decisions have yet been made. This is not a particular case of recent occurrence and cannot give grounds to a debate. Furthermore, as I said yesterday, there are other opportunities to consider the performance of district health boards. The financial review of the Capital and Coast District Health Board is currently before the Health Committee, and there is a general debate today. The application is declined.
